Chapter 14 of ZechariahNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ “Look! There is a day coming, belonging to Jehovah,1 and the spoil of you[a] will certainly be apportioned out in the midst of you.
  2. And I shall certainly gather all the nations against Jerusalem for the war;2 and the city will actually be captured3 and the houses be pillaged, and the women themselves will be raped.4 And half of the city must go forth into the exile;5 but as for the remaining ones[b] of the people,6 they will not be cut off from the city.7
  3. ¶ “And Jehovah will certainly go forth and war against those nations8 as in the day of his warring, in the day of fight.9
  4. And his feet will actually stand in that day upon the mountain of the olive trees,[c] which is in front of Jerusalem, on the east;10 and the mountain of the olive trees11 must be split at its middle,12 from the sunrising and to the west.[d] There will be a very great valley; and half of the mountain will actually be moved to the north, and half of it to the south.[e]
  5. And YOU people will certainly flee to the valley of my mountains;13 because the valley of [the] mountains will reach all the way to Aʹzel.[f] And YOU will have to flee, just as YOU fled because of the [earth]quake in the days of Uz·ziʹah the king of Judah.14 And Jehovah my God will certainly come,15 all the holy ones being with him.[g]16
  6. ¶ “And it must occur in that day [that] there will prove to be no precious light17—things will be congealed.18
  7. And it must become one day that is known as belonging to Jehovah.19 It will not be day, neither will it be night;20 and it must occur [that] at evening time it will become light.21
  8. And it must occur in that day [that] living waters22 will go forth from Jerusalem,23 half of them to the eastern sea[h]24 and half of them to the western sea.[i]25 In summer and in winter[j] it will occur.26
  9. And Jehovah must become king over all the earth.[k]27 In that day Jehovah will prove to be one,28 and his name one.29
  10. ¶ “The whole land will be changed like the Arʹa·bah,[l]30 from Geʹba31 to Rimʹmon32 to the south[m] of Jerusalem; and she must rise and become inhabited in her place,33 from the Gate of Benjamin34 all the way to the place of the First Gate, all the way to the Corner Gate, and [from] the Tower of Ha·nanʹel35 all the way to the press vats of the king.
  11. And people will certainly inhabit her; and there will occur no more any banning [to destruction],36 and Jerusalem must be inhabited in security.37
  12. ¶ “And this is what will prove to be the scourge with which Jehovah will scourge all the peoples that will actually do military service against Jerusalem:38 There will be a rotting away of one’s flesh, while one is standing upon one’s feet;39 and one’s very eyes will rot away in their sockets, and one’s very tongue will rot away in one’s mouth.
  13. ¶ “And it must occur in that day [that] confusion from Jehovah will become widespread among them;40 and they will actually grab hold, each one of the hand of his companion, and his hand will actually come up against the hand of his companion.
  14. And Judah itself also will be warring at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the nations round about will certainly be gathered, gold and silver and garments in excessive abundance.41
  15. ¶ “And this is how the scourge of the horse, the mule, the camel, and the male ass, and every sort of domestic animal that happens to be in those camps, will prove to be, like this scourge.
  16. ¶ “And it must occur [that], as regards everyone who is left remaining out of all the nations that are coming against Jerusalem,42 they must also go up from year to year43 to bow down to the King,44 Jehovah of armies,45 and to celebrate the festival of the booths.46
  17. And it must occur that, as regards anyone that does not come up47 out of the families48 of the earth to Jerusalem to bow down to the King, Jehovah of armies, even upon them no pouring rain will occur.49
  18. And if the family of Egypt itself does not come up and does not actually enter, upon them also there shall be none. The scourge will occur[n] with which Jehovah scourges the nations that do not come up to celebrate the festival of the booths.
  19. This itself will prove to be the [punishment for the] sin of Egypt and the sin of all the nations that do not come up to celebrate the festival of the booths.50
  20. ¶ “In that day there will prove to be51 upon the bells of the horse ‘Holiness belongs to Jehovah!’52 And the widemouthed cooking pots53 in the house of Jehovah must become like the bowls54 before the altar.55
  21. And every widemouthed cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah must become something holy belonging to Jehovah of armies, and all those who are sacrificing must come in and take from them and must do boiling in them.56 And there will no more prove to be a Caʹnaan·ite[o]57 in the house of Jehovah of armies in that day.”58

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
