Book of Psalms, No. 92
Psalms 92 NWT - New World Translation No. 92 of the Psalms—New World Translation (NWT)
- ¶ It is good to give thanks to Jehovah[a]1
And to make melody to your name, O Most High;2 - ¶ To tell in the morning about your loving-kindness3
And about your faithfulness during the nights,4 - ¶ Upon a ten-stringed instrument and upon the lute,5
By resounding music on the harp.6 - ¶ For you have made me rejoice, O Jehovah,[b] because of your activity;
Because of the works of your hands I cry out joyfully.7 - ¶ How great your works are, O Jehovah![c]8
Very deep your thoughts are.9 - ¶ No unreasoning man himself can know [them],10
And no one stupid can understand this.11 - ¶ When the wicked ones sprout as the vegetation12
And all the practicers of what is hurtful blossom forth,
It is that they may be annihilated forever.13 - ¶ But you are on high to time indefinite, O Jehovah.[d]14
- ¶ For, look! your enemies, O Jehovah,[e]15
For, look! your own enemies will perish;16
All the practicers of what is hurtful will be separated from one another.17 - ¶ But you will exalt my horn like that of a wild bull;[f]18
I shall moisten [myself][g] with fresh oil.19 - ¶ And my eye will look on my foes;[h]20
My ears will hear about the very ones who rise up against me, the evildoers. - ¶ The righteous himself will blossom forth as a palm tree does;21
As a cedar in Lebʹa·non does, he will grow big.22 - ¶ Those who are planted in the house of Jehovah,23
In the courtyards of our God,24 they will blossom forth. - ¶ They will still keep on thriving during gray-headedness,25
Fat and fresh they will continue to be,26 - ¶ To tell that Jehovah is upright.27
[He is] my Rock,28 in whom there is no unrighteousness.29
