Book of Psalms, No. 82
Psalms 82 NWT - New World Translation No. 82 of the Psalms—New World Translation (NWT)
- ¶ God[a] is stationing himself in the assembly1 of the Divine One;[b]2
In the middle of the gods[c] he judges:3 - ¶ “How long will YOU keep on judging with injustice4
And showing partiality to[d] the wicked themselves?5 Seʹlah. - ¶ Be judges for the lowly one and the fatherless boy.6
To the afflicted one and the one of little means do justice.7 - ¶ Provide escape for the lowly one and the poor one;8
Out of the hand of the wicked ones deliver [them].”9 - ¶ They have not known, and they do not understand;10
In darkness they keep walking about;11
All the foundations of the earth are made to totter.12 - ¶ “I myself have said, ‘YOU are gods,[e]13
And all of YOU are sons of the Most High.14 - ¶ Surely YOU will die just as men[f] do;15
And like any one of the princes YOU will fall!’”16 - ¶ Do rise up, O God,[g] do judge the earth;17
For you yourself should[h] take possession of all the nations.18
