Book of Psalms, No. 142
No. 142 of the Psalms
With my voice, to Jehovah I began to cry for favor.2
Before him I continued to tell about my own distress,4
Then you yourself knew my roadway.6
¶ In the path in which I walk7
They have hidden a trap for me.8
That there is no one giving any recognition to me.9
¶ My place for flight has perished from me;10
There is no one inquiring for my soul.11
I said: “You are my refuge,13
My share14 in the land of the living ones.”15
For I have become very much impoverished.17
¶ Deliver me from my persecutors,18
For they are stronger than I am.19
To laud your name.21
¶ Around me let the righteous ones gather,22
Because you deal appropriately with me.23REFERENCES
