- ¶ Praise Jah, YOU people![a]1
Praise the name of Jehovah,2
Offer praise, O servants of Jehovah,3 - ¶ YOU who are standing in the house of Jehovah,4
In the courtyards of the house of our God.5 - ¶ Praise Jah,[b] for Jehovah is good.6
Make melody to his name, for it is pleasant.7 - ¶ For Jah has chosen even Jacob for himself,8
Israel for his special property.9 - ¶ For I myself well know that Jehovah is great,10
And our Lord[c] is more than all [other] gods.[d]11 - ¶ Everything that Jehovah delighted [to do] he has done12
In the heavens and in the earth, in the seas and all the watery deeps.[e]13 - ¶ He is causing vapors to ascend from the extremity[f] of the earth;14
He has made even sluices[g] for the rain;15
He is bringing forth the wind[h] from his storehouses,16 - ¶ He who struck down the firstborn ones of Egypt,17
Both man[i] and beast.18 - ¶ He sent signs and miracles into the midst of you, O Egypt,19
Upon Pharʹaoh and upon all his servants;20 - ¶ He who struck down many nations21
And killed potent kings,22 - ¶ Even Siʹhon the king of the Amʹor·ites23
And Og the king of Baʹshan24
And all the kingdoms of Caʹnaan,25 - ¶ And who gave their land as an inheritance,26
An inheritance to Israel his people.27 - ¶ O Jehovah, your name is to time indefinite.28
O Jehovah, your memorial is to generation after generation.[j]29 - ¶ For Jehovah will plead the cause of his people,30
And he will feel regret even over his servants.31 - ¶ The idols of the nations are silver and gold,32
The work of the hands of earthling man.[k]33 - ¶ A mouth they have, but they can speak nothing;34
Eyes they have, but they can see nothing;35 - ¶ Ears they have, but they can give ear to nothing.36
Also there exists no spirit[l] in their mouth.37 - ¶ Those making them will become just like them,38
Everyone who is trusting in them.39 - ¶ O house of Israel, do YOU men bless Jehovah.40
O house of Aaron, do YOU men bless Jehovah.41 - ¶ O house of Leʹvi, do YOU men bless Jehovah.42
YOU fearers of Jehovah, bless Jehovah.43 - ¶ Blessed out of Zion be Jehovah,44
Who is residing in Jerusalem.45
Praise Jah, YOU people![m]46
