Book of Psalms, No. 115
Psalms 115 NWT - New World Translation No. 115 of the Psalms—New World Translation (NWT)
- ¶ [a] To us belongs nothing, O Jehovah, to us belongs nothing,1
But to your name give glory2
According to your loving-kindness, according to your trueness.[b]3 - ¶ Why should the nations say:4
“Where, now, is their God?”5 - ¶ But our God is in the heavens;6
Everything that he delighted [to do] he has done.7 - ¶ Their idols are silver and gold,8
The work of the hands of earthling man.[c]9 - ¶ A mouth they have, but they cannot speak;10
Eyes they have, but they cannot see;11 - ¶ Ears they have, but they cannot hear.12
A nose they have, but they cannot smell.13 - ¶ Hands are theirs, but they cannot feel.14
Feet are theirs, but they cannot walk;15
They utter no sound with their throat.16 - ¶ Those making them will become just like them,17
All those who are trusting in them.18 - ¶ O Israel, trust in Jehovah;19
He is their help and their shield.20 - ¶ O house of Aaron, put YOUR trust in Jehovah;21
He is their help and their shield.22 - ¶ YOU that fear Jehovah, trust in Jehovah;23
He is their help and their shield.24 - ¶ Jehovah himself has remembered us; he will bless,25
He will bless the house of Israel,26
He will bless the house of Aaron.27 - ¶ He will bless those fearing Jehovah,28
The small ones as well as the great ones.29 - ¶ Jehovah will give increase to YOU,30
To YOU and to YOUR sons.31 - ¶ YOU are the ones blessed by Jehovah,32
The Maker of heaven and earth.33 - ¶ As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong,34
But the earth he has given to the sons of men.[d]35 - ¶ The dead themselves do not praise Jah,[e]36
Nor do any going down into silence.37 - ¶ But we ourselves[f] will bless Jah[g]38
From now on and to time indefinite.39
Praise Jah, YOU people![h]40
