Chapter 33 of NumbersNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ These were the stages of the sons of Israel who went out of the land of Egypt1 in their armies2 by the hand of Moses and Aaron.3
  2. And Moses kept recording the departure places by their stages at the order of Jehovah; and these were their stages from one departure place to another:4
  3. And they proceeded to pull away from Ramʹe·ses5 in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month.6 Directly the day after the passover7 the sons of Israel went out with uplifted hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians.8
  4. All the while the Egyptians were burying those whom Jehovah had struck among them, that is, all the firstborn;9 and upon their gods Jehovah had executed judgments.10
  5. ¶ So the sons of Israel pulled away from Ramʹe·ses11 and went camping in Sucʹcoth.12
  6. Then they pulled away from Sucʹcoth and went camping in Eʹtham,13 which is on the edge of the wilderness.
  7. Next they pulled away from Eʹtham and turned back toward Pi·ha·hiʹroth,14 which is in view of Baʹal-zeʹphon;15 and they went camping before Migʹdol.16
  8. After that they pulled away from Pi·ha·hiʹroth[a] and went passing through the midst of the sea17 to the wilderness18 and kept marching a three-day journey in the wilderness of Eʹtham19 and took up camping at Maʹrah.20
  9. ¶ Then they pulled away from Maʹrah and came to Eʹlim.21 Now in Eʹlim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees. So they camped there.
  10. Next they pulled away from Eʹlim and went camping by the Red Sea.
  11. After that they pulled away from the Red Sea and took up camping in the wilderness of Sin.22
  12. Then they pulled away from the wilderness of Sin and went camping at Dophʹkah.
  13. Later they pulled away from Dophʹkah and went camping at Aʹlush.
  14. They next pulled away from Aʹlush and went camping in Rephʹi·dim.23 And there proved to be no water there for the people to drink.
  15. After that they pulled away from Rephʹi·dim and went camping in the wilderness of Siʹnai.24
  16. ¶ Subsequently they pulled away from the wilderness of Siʹnai and went camping at Kibʹroth-hat·taʹa·vah.25
  17. Then they pulled away from Kibʹroth-hat·taʹa·vah and went camping in Ha·zeʹroth.26
  18. After that they pulled away from Ha·zeʹroth and went camping in Rithʹmah.
  19. Next they pulled away from Rithʹmah and took up camping in Rimʹmon-peʹrez.
  20. Then they pulled away from Rimʹmon-peʹrez and went camping in Libʹnah.
  21. Later they pulled away from Libʹnah and went camping in Risʹsah.
  22. Next they pulled away from Risʹsah and went camping in Ke·he·laʹthah.
  23. Then they pulled away from Ke·he·laʹthah and went camping in Mount Sheʹpher.
  24. ¶ After that they pulled away from Mount Sheʹpher and went camping27 in Har·aʹdah.
  25. Then they pulled away from Har·aʹdah and went camping in Mak·heʹloth.
  26. Next they pulled away28 from Mak·heʹloth and went camping in Taʹhath.
  27. After that they pulled away from Taʹhath and went camping in Teʹrah.
  28. Then they pulled away from Teʹrah and went camping in Mithʹkah.
  29. Later they pulled away from Mithʹkah and went camping in Hash·moʹnah.
  30. Next they pulled away from Hash·moʹnah and went camping in Mo·seʹroth.
  31. Then they pulled away from Mo·seʹroth and went camping in Benʹe-jaʹa·kan.29
  32. After that they pulled away from Benʹe-jaʹa·kan and went camping in Hor-hag·gidʹgad.
  33. Next they pulled away from Hor-hag·gidʹgad and went camping in Jotʹba·thah.30
  34. Later they pulled away from Jotʹba·thah and went camping in A·broʹnah.
  35. Then they pulled away from A·broʹnah and went camping in Eʹzi·on-geʹber.31
  36. After that they pulled away from Eʹzi·on-geʹber and went camping in the wilderness of Zin,32 that is to say, Kaʹdesh.
  37. ¶ Later they pulled away from Kaʹdesh and went camping in Mount Hor,33 on the frontier of the land of Eʹdom.
  38. And Aaron the priest proceeded to go up into Mount Hor at the order of Jehovah and to die there in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.34
  39. And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old at his death on Mount Hor.
  40. ¶ Now the Caʹnaan·ite, the king of Aʹrad,35 as he was dwelling in the Negʹeb,36 in the land of Caʹnaan, got to hear about the coming of the sons of Israel.
  41. ¶ In time they pulled away from Mount Hor37 and went camping in Zal·moʹnah.
  42. After that they pulled away from Zal·moʹnah and went camping in Puʹnon.
  43. Next they pulled away from Puʹnon and went camping in Oʹboth.38
  44. Then they pulled away from Oʹboth and went camping in Iʹye-abʹa·rim[b] on the border of Moʹab.39
  45. Later they pulled away from Iʹyim and went camping in Diʹbon-gad.40
  46. After that they pulled away from Diʹbon-gad and went camping in Alʹmon-dib·la·thaʹim.
  47. Then they pulled away from Alʹmon-dib·la·thaʹim41 and went camping in the mountains of Abʹa·rim[c]42 before Neʹbo.43
  48. Finally they pulled away from the mountains of Abʹa·rim and took up camping on the desert plains of Moʹab44 by the Jordan at Jerʹi·cho.
  49. And they continued camping by the Jordan from Beth-jeshʹi·moth45 to Aʹbel-shitʹtim46 on the desert plains of Moʹab.
  50. ¶ And Jehovah proceeded to speak to Moses on the desert plains of Moʹab by the Jordan at Jerʹi·cho,47 saying:
  51. “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you must say to them, ‘YOU are crossing the Jordan into the land of Caʹnaan.48
  52. And YOU must drive away all the inhabitants[d] of the land from before YOU and destroy all their stone figures,[e]49 and all their images of molten metal50 YOU should destroy, and all their sacred high places YOU should annihilate.51
  53. And YOU must take possession of the land and dwell in it, because to YOU I shall certainly give the land to take possession of it.52
  54. And YOU must apportion the land to yourselves as a possession by lot53 according to YOUR families.54 To the populous one YOU should increase his inheritance, and to the sparse one YOU should reduce his inheritance.55 To where the lot will come out for him, there it will become his.56 By the tribes of YOUR fathers YOU should provide yourselves with landed property.57
  55. ¶ “‘If, though, YOU will not drive the inhabitants of the land away from before YOU,58 then those whom YOU leave of them will certainly become as pricks in YOUR eyes and as thorns in YOUR sides, and they will indeed harass YOU on the land in which YOU will be dwelling.59
  56. And it must occur that just as I had figured doing to them I shall do to YOU.’”60

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

When i do read some comments and seeing that its the same people that are supposed to be called believers but are talking ill of other denominations, it hurts. Let us all remember that We should judge not

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
