Chapter 15 of NumbersNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And Jehovah spoke further to Moses, saying:
  2. “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you must say to them, ‘When YOU eventually come into the land of YOUR dwelling places, which I am giving YOU,1
  3. and YOU must render up an offering made by fire to Jehovah,2 a burnt offering3 or a sacrifice to perform a special vow or voluntarily[a]4 or during YOUR seasonal festivals,5 in order to make a restful odor to Jehovah,6 from the herd or from the flock;
  4. the one presenting his offering must also present to Jehovah a grain offering of fine flour,7 a tenth of an eʹphah,[b] moistened with a fourth of a hin of oil.
  5. And you should render up wine as a drink offering,8 the fourth of a hin, together with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice of each male lamb.
  6. Or for a ram you should render up a grain offering of two tenths of fine flour, moistened with a third of a hin of oil.
  7. And you should present wine as a drink offering, a third of a hin, as a restful odor to Jehovah.
  8. ¶ “‘But in case you should render up a male of the herd[c] as a burnt offering9 or a sacrifice to perform a special vow10 or communion sacrifices to Jehovah,11
  9. one must also present together with the male of the herd a grain offering12 of three tenths of fine flour, moistened with half a hin of oil.
  10. And you should present wine as a drink offering,13 half a hin, as an offering made by fire, of a restful odor to Jehovah.
  11. This is the way it should be done for each bull or for each ram or for one head among the male lambs or among the goats.
  12. Whatever may be the number that YOU may render up, that is the way YOU should do for each one according to the number of them.
  13. Every native should render up these in this way in presenting an offering made by fire, of a restful odor to Jehovah.14
  14. ¶ “‘And in case there should be residing as an alien with YOU an alien resident or one who is in YOUR midst for generations of YOU, and he must render up an offering made by fire, of a restful odor to Jehovah, just as YOU should do, so he should do.15
  15. YOU who are of the congregation and the alien resident who is residing as an alien will have one statute.16 It will be a statute to time indefinite for YOUR generations. The alien resident should prove to be the same as YOU[d] before Jehovah.17
  16. There should prove to be one law and one judicial decision for YOU and for the alien resident who is residing as an alien with YOU.’”18
  17. ¶ And Jehovah went on to speak to Moses, saying:
  18. “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you must say to them, ‘On YOUR coming into the land where I am bringing YOU,19
  19. it must also occur that when YOU eat any of the bread of the land,20 YOU should make a contribution to Jehovah.
  20. YOU should make a contribution of the firstfruits21 of YOUR coarse meal as ring-shaped cakes. Like the contribution of a threshing floor is the way YOU should contribute it.
  21. Some of the firstfruits of YOUR coarse meal YOU should give as a contribution to Jehovah throughout YOUR generations.
  22. ¶ “‘Now in case YOU should make a mistake and not do all these commandments,22 which Jehovah has spoken to Moses,
  23. all that Jehovah has commanded YOU by means of Moses from the day that Jehovah commanded and onward for YOUR generations,
  24. it must then occur that if it has been done far from the eyes of the assembly by mistake, the whole assembly must then render up one young bull as a burnt offering for a restful odor to Jehovah, and its grain offering and its drink offering according to the regular procedure,23 and one kid of the goats as a sin offering.24
  25. And the priest must make atonement25 for the whole assembly of the sons of Israel, and it must be forgiven them; because it was a mistake,26 and they, for their part, brought as their offering an offering made by fire to Jehovah and their sin offering before Jehovah for their mistake.
  26. And it must be forgiven27 the whole assembly of the sons of Israel and the alien resident who is residing as an alien in their midst, because it was by mistake on the part of all the people.
  27. ¶ “‘And if any soul should sin by mistake,28 then he must present a female goat in its first year for a sin offering.29
  28. And the priest must make atonement for the soul who made a mistake by a sin unintentionally before Jehovah, so as to make atonement for it, and it must be forgiven him.30
  29. As to the native among the sons of Israel and the alien resident who is residing as an alien in their midst, there should prove to be one law for YOU as respects doing something unintentionally.31
  30. ¶ “‘But the soul that does something deliberately,[e]32 whether he is a native or an alien resident, he speaking abusively of Jehovah,33 in that case that soul must be cut off from among his people.34
  31. Because it is Jehovah’s word that he has despised35 and his commandment that he has broken,36 that soul should be cut off without fail.37 His own error is upon him.’”38
  32. ¶ While the sons of Israel were continuing in the wilderness, they once found a man collecting pieces of wood on the sabbath day.39
  33. Then those who found him collecting pieces of wood brought him up to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly.
  34. So they committed him into custody,40 because it had not been distinctly stated what should be done to him.
  35. ¶ In time Jehovah said to Moses: “Without fail the man should be put to death,41 the whole assembly pelting[f] him with stones outside the camp.”42
  36. Accordingly the whole assembly brought him forth outside the camp and pelted him with stones so that he died, just as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
  37. ¶ And Jehovah went on to say this to Moses:
  38. “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you must say to them that they must make for themselves fringed edges upon the skirts of their garments throughout their generations, and they must put a blue string above the fringed edge of the skirt,43
  39. ‘And it must serve as a fringed edge for YOU, and YOU must see it and remember all the commandments44 of Jehovah and do them, and YOU must not go about following YOUR hearts and YOUR eyes,45 which YOU are following in immoral intercourse.[g]46
  40. The purpose is that YOU may remember and may certainly do all my commandments and indeed prove to be holy to YOUR God.47
  41. I am Jehovah YOUR God, who have brought YOU out of the land of Egypt in order to prove myself YOUR God.48 I am Jehovah YOUR God.’”49

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
