Chapter 22 of LeviticusNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And Jehovah spoke further to Moses, saying:
  2. “Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they may keep themselves separate from the holy things of the sons of Israel and not profane my holy name1 in the things they are sanctifying to me.2 I am Jehovah.
  3. Say to them, ‘Throughout YOUR generations any man of all YOUR offspring who comes near to the holy things, which the sons of Israel will sanctify to Jehovah, while his uncleanness is upon him,3 that soul must be cut off from before me. I am Jehovah.
  4. No man of Aaron’s offspring when he is leprous4 or has a running discharge5 may eat of the holy things until he becomes clean,6 neither he who touches anyone unclean by a deceased soul[a]7 or a man from whom there goes out a seminal emission,8
  5. nor a man who touches any swarming thing that is unclean for him9 or touches a man who is unclean for him as respects any uncleanness of his.10
  6. The soul who touches any such must be unclean until the evening and may not eat any of the holy things, but he must bathe his flesh in water.11
  7. When the sun has set, he must also be clean, and afterward he may eat some of the holy things, because it is his bread.12
  8. He should also not eat any body [already] dead or anything torn by wild beasts so as to become unclean by it.13 I am Jehovah.
  9. ¶ “‘And they must keep their obligation to me, that they may not carry sin because of it and have to die14 for it because they were profaning it. I am Jehovah who is sanctifying them.
  10. ¶ “‘And no stranger[b] at all may eat anything holy.15 No settler with a priest nor a hired laborer may eat anything holy.
  11. But in case a priest should purchase a soul, as a purchase with his money, he as such may share in eating it. As for slaves born[c] in his house, they as such may share in eating his bread.16
  12. And in case the daughter of a priest should become a man’s who is a stranger, she as such may not eat of the contribution of the holy things.
  13. But in case the daughter of a priest should become a widow or divorced[d] when she has no offspring, and she must return to her father’s house as in her youth,17 she may eat some of her father’s bread;18 but no stranger at all may feed on it.
  14. ¶ “‘Now in case a man eats a holy thing by mistake,19 he must then add the fifth20 of it to it and must give the holy thing to the priest.
  15. So they[e] should not profane the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they may contribute to Jehovah,21
  16. and actually cause them to bear the punishment of guiltiness because of their eating their holy things; for I am Jehovah who is sanctifying them.’”
  17. ¶ And Jehovah continued to speak to Moses, saying:
  18. “Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the sons of Israel, and you must say to them, ‘As for any man of the house of Israel or some alien resident in Israel who presents his offering,22 for any of their vows23 or for any of their voluntary offerings,24 which they may present to Jehovah for a burnt offering,
  19. to gain approval25 for YOU it must be sound,26 a male among the herd, among the young rams or among the goats.
  20. Anything in which there is a defect YOU must not present,27 because it will not serve to gain approval for YOU.
  21. ¶ “‘And in case a man should present a communion sacrifice28 to Jehovah in order to pay a vow29 or as a voluntary offering, it should prove to be a sound one among the herd or the flock, in order to gain approval. No defect at all should prove to be in it.
  22. No case of blindness or fracture or having a cut or wart or scabbiness or ringworm,30 none of these must YOU present to Jehovah, and no offering made by fire31 from them must YOU put upon the altar for Jehovah.
  23. As for a bull or a sheep having a member too long or too short,32 you may make it a voluntary offering; but for a vow it will not be accepted with approval.
  24. But one having the testicles33 squeezed or crushed or pulled off or cut off[f] YOU must not present to Jehovah, and in YOUR land YOU should not render them up.
  25. And any of all these from the hand of a foreigner YOU must not present as the bread of YOUR God, because their corruption is in them. There is a defect34 in them. They will not be accepted with approval35 of YOU.’”
  26. ¶ And Jehovah spoke further to Moses, saying:
  27. “Should a bull or a young ram or a goat be born, then it must continue under its mother seven days,36 but from the eighth day and forward it will be accepted with approval as an offering, an offering made by fire to Jehovah.
  28. As for a bull and a sheep, YOU must not slaughter it and its young one on the one day.37
  29. ¶ “And in case YOU should sacrifice a thanksgiving sacrifice[g] to Jehovah,38 YOU should sacrifice it to gain approval for YOU.
  30. On that day it should be eaten.39 YOU must not leave any of it until morning.40 I am Jehovah.
  31. ¶ “And YOU must keep my commandments and do them.41 I am Jehovah.
  32. And YOU must not profane my holy name,42 and I must be sanctified[h] in the midst of the sons of Israel.43 I am Jehovah who is sanctifying YOU,44
  33. the One bringing YOU out of the land of Egypt to prove myself God to YOU.45 I am Jehovah.”

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
