Chapter 19 of LeviticusNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And Jehovah spoke further to Moses, saying:
  2. “Speak to the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, and you must say to them, ‘YOU should prove yourselves holy,1 because I Jehovah YOUR God am holy.2
  3. ¶ “‘YOU should fear each one his mother and his father,[a]3 and my sabbaths YOU should keep.4 I am Jehovah YOUR God.
  4. Do not turn yourselves to valueless gods,[b]5 and YOU must not make molten gods for yourselves.6 I am Jehovah YOUR God.
  5. ¶ “‘Now in case YOU should sacrifice a communion sacrifice to Jehovah,7 YOU should sacrifice it to gain approval for yourselves.
  6. On the day of YOUR sacrifice and directly the next day it should be eaten, but what is left over till the third day should be burned in the fire.8
  7. If, though, it should at all be eaten on the third day, it is a foul thing.9 It will not be accepted with approval.10
  8. And the one[c] eating it will answer for his error,11 because he has profaned a holy thing of Jehovah; and that soul must be cut off from his people.
  9. ¶ “‘And when YOU people reap the harvest of YOUR land, you must not reap the edge of your field completely, and the gleaning of your harvest you must not pick up.12
  10. Also, you must not gather the leftovers13 of your vineyard, and you must not pick up the scattered grapes of your vineyard. For the afflicted one and the alien resident you should leave them.14 I am Jehovah YOUR God.
  11. ¶ “‘YOU people must not steal,15 and YOU must not deceive,16 and YOU must not deal falsely anyone with his associate.17
  12. And YOU must not swear in my name to a lie,18 so that you do profane the name of your God. I am Jehovah.
  13. You must not defraud your fellow,19 and you must not rob.20 The wages of a hired laborer should not stay all night with you until morning.21
  14. ¶ “‘You must not call down evil upon a deaf man, and before a blind man you must not put an obstacle;22 and you must be in fear of your God.23 I am Jehovah.
  15. ¶ “‘YOU people must not do injustice in the judgment. You must not treat the lowly with partiality,24 and you must not prefer the person of a great one.25 With justice you should judge your associate.
  16. ¶ “‘You must not go around among your people for the sake of slandering.26 You must not stand up against your fellow’s blood.27 I am Jehovah.
  17. ¶ “‘You must not hate your brother in your heart.28 You should by all means reprove your associate,29 that you may not bear sin along with him.
  18. ¶ “‘You must not take vengeance30 nor have a grudge against the sons of your people;31 and you must love your fellow as yourself.32 I am Jehovah.
  19. ¶ “‘YOU people should keep my statutes: You must not interbreed your domestic animals of two sorts. You must not sow your field with seeds of two sorts,33 and you must not put upon yourself a garment of two sorts of thread, mixed together.34
  20. ¶ “‘Now in case a man lies down with a woman and has an emission of semen, when she is a maidservant designated for another man, and she has not in any way been redeemed nor has freedom been given her, punishment[d] should take place.[e] They[f] should not be put to death, because she was not set free.
  21. And he must bring his guilt offering to Jehovah to the entrance of the tent of meeting, a ram of guilt offering.35
  22. And the priest must make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before Jehovah for his sin that he committed; and his sin that he committed must be forgiven him.36
  23. ¶ “‘And in case YOU people come into the land, and YOU must plant any tree for food, YOU must also consider its fruitage impure as its “foreskin.” For three years it will continue uncircumcised for YOU. It should not be eaten.
  24. But in the fourth year all its fruit37 will become a holy thing of festal exultation to Jehovah.38
  25. And in the fifth year YOU may eat its fruit in order to add its produce to yourselves.39 I am Jehovah YOUR God.
  26. ¶ “‘YOU must eat nothing along with blood.40
¶ “‘YOU must not look for omens,41 and YOU must not practice magic.42
  27. ¶ “‘YOU must not cut YOUR sidelocks[g] short around, and you must not destroy the extremity of your beard.43
  28. ¶ “‘And YOU must not make cuts in YOUR flesh for a deceased soul,[h]44 and YOU must not put tattoo marking upon yourselves. I am Jehovah.
  29. ¶ “‘Do not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute,45 in order that the land may not commit prostitution and the land actually be filled with loose morals.46
  30. ¶ “‘My sabbaths YOU should keep,47 and YOU should stand in awe of my sanctuary.48 I am Jehovah.
  31. ¶ “‘Do not turn yourselves to the spirit mediums,[i]49 and do not consult professional foretellers of events,50 so as to become unclean by them. I am Jehovah YOUR God.
  32. ¶ “‘Before gray hair you should rise up,51 and you must show consideration for the person of an old man,52 and you must be in fear of your God.53 I am Jehovah.
  33. ¶ “‘And in case an alien resident resides with you as an alien in YOUR land, YOU must not mistreat him.54
  34. The alien resident who resides as an alien with YOU should become to YOU like a native of YOURS; and you must love him as yourself,55 for YOU became alien residents in the land of Egypt.56 I am Jehovah YOUR God.
  35. ¶ “‘YOU must not commit injustice in judging,57 in measuring, in weighing58 or in measuring liquids.
  36. YOU should prove to have accurate scales,59 accurate weights,[j] an accurate eʹphah and an accurate hin. Jehovah YOUR God I am, who have brought YOU out of the land of Egypt.
  37. So YOU must keep all my statutes and all my judicial decisions, and YOU must do them.60 I am Jehovah.’”

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
