Chapter 16 of LeviticusNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And Jehovah proceeded to speak to Moses after the death of Aaron’s two sons for their approaching[a] before Jehovah so that they died.1
  2. And Jehovah proceeded to say to Moses: “Speak to Aaron your brother, that he should not at all times come into the holy place[b]2 inside the curtain,3 in front of the cover[c] which is upon the Ark, that he may not die;4 because in a cloud5 I shall appear over the cover.6
  3. ¶ “With the following Aaron should come into the holy place:7 with a young bull for a sin offering8 and a ram for a burnt offering.9
  4. He should put on the holy linen robe,10 and the linen drawers11 should come upon his flesh, and he should gird himself with the linen sash12 and wrap himself with the linen turban.13 They are holy garments.14 And he must bathe his flesh in water15 and put them on.
  5. ¶ “And from the assembly of the sons of Israel16 he should take two male kids of the goats for a sin offering17 and one ram for a burnt offering.18
  6. ¶ “And Aaron must present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself,19 and he must make atonement[d]20 in behalf of himself21 and his house.22
  7. ¶ “And he must take the two goats[e] and make them stand before Jehovah at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
  8. And Aaron must draw lots23 over the two goats, the one lot for Jehovah and the other lot for A·zaʹzel.[f]24
  9. And Aaron must present the goat over which the lot25 came up for Jehovah, and he must make it a sin offering.26
  10. But the goat over which the lot came up for A·zaʹzel should be stood alive before Jehovah to make atonement for it, so as to send27 it away for A·zaʹzel into the wilderness.28
  11. ¶ “And Aaron must present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself,[g] and make an atonement in behalf of himself and his house; and he must slaughter the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself.29
  12. ¶ “And he must take the fire holder30 full of burning coals of fire from off the altar31 before Jehovah, and the hollows of both his hands32 full of fine perfumed incense,[h]33 and he must bring them inside the curtain.34
  13. He must also put the incense upon the fire before Jehovah,35 and the cloud of the incense must overspread the Ark cover,36 which is upon the Testimony,[i]37 that he may not die.
  14. ¶ “And he must take some of the bull’s blood38 and spatter it with his finger in front of the cover[j] on the east side, and he will spatter39 some of the blood with his finger seven times before the cover.40
  15. ¶ “And he must slaughter the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people,41 and he must bring its blood inside the curtain42 and do with its blood43 the same as he did with the bull’s blood; and he must spatter it toward the cover[k] and before the cover.
  16. ¶ “And he must make atonement for the holy place concerning[l] the uncleannesses44 of the sons of Israel and concerning their revolts in all their sins;45 and that is the way he should do for the tent of meeting, which is residing with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.
  17. ¶ “And no other man[m] should happen to be in the tent of meeting from when he goes in to make atonement in the holy place until he comes out; and he must make atonement in behalf of himself46 and in behalf of his house and in behalf of the entire congregation[n] of Israel.47
  18. ¶ “And he must come out to the altar,48 which is before Jehovah, and make atonement[o] for it, and he must take some of the bull’s blood and some of the goat’s blood and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.49
  19. He must also spatter50 some of the blood upon it with his finger seven times and cleanse it and sanctify it from the uncleannesses of the sons of Israel.
  20. ¶ “When he has finished making atonement51 for the holy place and the tent of meeting and the altar, he must also present the live goat.52
  21. And Aaron must lay both his hands53 upon the head of the live goat and confess54 over it all the errors55 of the sons of Israel and all their revolts in all their sins,56 and he must put them upon the head of the goat57 and send it away by the hand of a ready man58 into the wilderness.59
  22. And the goat must carry upon itself all their errors60 into a desert land,61 and he must send the goat away into the wilderness.62
  23. ¶ “And Aaron must come into the tent of meeting and strip off the linen garments that he put on when he went into the holy place, and he must lay them down there.63
  24. And he must bathe his flesh in water64 in a holy place65 and put on his garments66 and come out and render up his burnt offering67 and the people’s burnt offering68 and make atonement in his own behalf and in behalf of the people.[p]69
  25. And he will make the fat of the sin offering smoke upon the altar.70
  26. ¶ “As for the one71 who sent the goat away for A·zaʹzel,72 he should wash his garments, and he must bathe his flesh in water,73 and after that he may come into the camp.
  27. ¶ “However, he will have the bull of the sin offering and the goat of the sin offering, the blood of both of which was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, taken forth outside the camp; and they must burn their skins and their flesh and their dung in the fire.74
  28. And the one who burned them should wash his garments, and he must bathe his flesh in water, and after that he may come into the camp.
  29. ¶ “And it must serve as a statute to time indefinite[q] for YOU people:75 In the seventh month[r] on the tenth of the month76 YOU should afflict YOUR souls,77 and YOU must not do any work,78 either the native[s] or the alien resident[t] who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst.
  30. For on this day atonement79 will be made[u] for YOU to pronounce YOU clean. YOU will be clean from all YOUR sins before Jehovah.80
  31. It is a sabbath81 of complete rest[v] for YOU, and YOU must afflict YOUR souls. It is a statute to time indefinite.
  32. ¶ “And the priest who will be anointed[w]82 and whose hand will be filled with power[x] to act as priest83 as successor84 of his father must make an atonement and must put on the linen garments.85 They are holy garments.86
  33. And he must make atonement for the holy sanctuary,87 and for the tent88 of meeting and for the altar89 he will make atonement; and for the priests and for all the people of the congregation he will make atonement.90
  34. And this must serve as a statute to time indefinite for YOU,91 in order to make atonement for the sons of Israel concerning all their sins once in the year.”92
¶ Accordingly he did just as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
