Chapter 13 of LeviticusNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And Jehovah proceeded to speak to Moses and Aaron, saying:
  2. “In case a man develops in the skin of his flesh an eruption or a scab1 or a blotch and it does develop in the skin of his flesh into the plague of leprosy,[a]2 he must then be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests.3
  3. And the priest must look at the plague in the skin of the flesh.4 When the hair in the plague has turned white and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is the plague of leprosy. And the priest must look at it, and he must declare him unclean.
  4. But if the blotch is white in the skin of his flesh and its appearance is not deeper than the skin and its hair has not turned white, the priest must then quarantine5 the plague seven days.
  5. And the priest must look at him on the seventh day, and if in the way it looks the plague has stopped, the plague has not spread in the skin, the priest must also quarantine6 him another seven days.
  6. ¶ “And the priest must look at him on the seventh day the second time, and if the plague has grown dull and the plague has not spread in the skin, the priest must also pronounce him clean. It was a scab. And he must wash his garments and be clean.
  7. But if the scab has unquestionably spread in the skin after his appearing before the priest for the establishment of his purification, he must then appear the second time before the priest,7
  8. and the priest must take a look; and if the scab has spread in the skin, the priest must then declare him unclean. It is leprosy.8
  9. ¶ “In case the plague of leprosy develops in a man, he must then be brought to the priest.
  10. And the priest must take a look;9 and if there is a white eruption in the skin and it has turned the hair white and the raw of the living flesh10 is in the eruption,
  11. it is chronic leprosy11 in the skin of his flesh; and the priest must declare him unclean. He should not quarantine12 him, for he is unclean.
  12. Now if the leprosy unquestionably breaks out in the skin, and the leprosy does cover all the skin of the one with the plague from his head to his feet to the full sight of the priest’s eyes;
  13. and the priest has looked and there the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he must then pronounce the plague clean.[b] All of it has turned white. He is clean.
  14. But on the day the living flesh appears in it, he will be unclean.
  15. And the priest13 must see the living flesh, and he must declare him unclean. The living flesh is unclean. It is leprosy.14
  16. Or in case the living flesh goes back and it does change to white, he must then come to the priest.
  17. And the priest must look at him,15 and if the plague has been changed to white, the priest must then pronounce the plague clean. He is clean.
  18. ¶ “As for the flesh, in case a boil16 develops in its skin and it does get healed,
  19. and in the place of the boil a white eruption has developed or a reddish-white blotch, he must then show himself to the priest.
  20. And the priest must look,17 and if its appearance is lower than the skin and its hair has turned white, the priest must then declare him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. It has broken out in the boil.
  21. But if the priest looks at it, and, there now, there is no white hair in it and it is not deeper than the skin and it is dull, the priest must then quarantine18 him seven days.
  22. And if it unmistakably spreads in the skin, the priest must then declare him unclean. It is a plague.
  23. But if in its place the blotch should stand, it has not spread, it is the inflammation19 of the boil; and the priest must pronounce him clean.20
  24. ¶ “Or in case there comes to be a scar in the skin of the flesh from the fire, and the raw flesh of the scar does become a reddish-white blotch or a white one,
  25. the priest must then look at it; and if the hair has been changed white in the blotch and its appearance is deeper than the skin, it is leprosy. It has broken out in the scar, and the priest must declare him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
  26. But if the priest looks at it, and, there now, there is no white hair in the blotch and it is not lower than the skin and it is dull, the priest must then quarantine him seven days.
  27. And the priest must look at him on the seventh day. If it unmistakably spreads in the skin, the priest must then declare him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy.
  28. But if the blotch stands in its place, it has not spread in the skin and it is dull, it is an eruption of the scar; and the priest must pronounce him clean, because it is an inflammation of the scar.
  29. ¶ “As for a man or a woman, in case a plague develops in such one on the head or on the chin,
  30. the priest21 must then see the plague; and if its appearance is deeper than the skin, and the hair is yellow and scarce in it, the priest must then declare such one unclean. It is an abnormal falling off of hair.22 It is leprosy of the head or of the chin.
  31. But in case the priest sees the plague of abnormal falling off of hair, and, look! its appearance is not deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it, the priest must then quarantine23 the plague of abnormal falling off of hair seven days.24
  32. And the priest must look at the plague on the seventh day; and if the abnormal falling off of hair has not spread, and no yellow hair has developed in it and the appearance of the abnormal falling off of hair25 is not deeper than the skin,
  33. he must then have himself shaved, but he will not have the abnormal falling off of hair shaved;26 and the priest must quarantine the abnormal falling off of hair seven days again.
  34. ¶ “And the priest must look at the abnormal falling off of hair on the seventh day; and if the abnormal falling off of hair has not spread in the skin, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, the priest must then pronounce him clean,27 and he must wash his garments and be clean.
  35. But if the abnormal falling off of hair unmistakably spreads in the skin after the establishment of his purification,
  36. the priest28 must then see him; and if the abnormal falling off of hair has spread in the skin, the priest need not make examination for yellow hair; he is unclean.
  37. But if in its look the abnormal falling off of hair has stood and black hair has grown in it, the abnormal falling off of hair has been healed. He is clean, and the priest must pronounce him clean.29
  38. ¶ “As for a man or a woman, in case blotches30 develop in the skin of their flesh, white blotches,
  39. the priest31 must then take a look; and if the blotches in the skin of their flesh are dull white, it is a harmless eruption. It has broken out in the skin. He is clean.
  40. ¶ “As for a man, in case his head grows bald,32 it is baldness. He is clean.
  41. And if his head grows bald up in front,[c] it is forehead baldness. He is clean.
  42. But in case a reddish-white plague develops in the baldness of the crown or of the forehead, it is leprosy breaking out in the baldness of his crown or of his forehead.
  43. And the priest33 must look at him; and if there is an eruption of the reddish-white plague in the baldness of his crown or of his forehead like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the flesh,
  44. he is a leper.[d] He is unclean. Unclean is what the priest should declare him. His plague is on his head.
  45. As for the leprous one in whom the plague is, his garments should be torn,34 and his head should become ungroomed,35 and he should cover over the mustache[e]36 and call out, ‘Unclean, unclean!’37
  46. All the days that the plague is in him he will be unclean. He is unclean. He should dwell isolated. Outside the camp38 is his dwelling place.
  47. ¶ “As for a garment, in case the plague of leprosy develops in it, whether in a woolen garment or in a linen garment,
  48. or in the warp39 or in the woof of the linen and of the wool, or in a skin or in anything made of skin,40
  49. and the yellowish-green or reddish plague does develop in the garment or in the skin or in the warp or in the woof or in any article of skin, it is the plague of leprosy, and it must be shown to the priest.
  50. And the priest41 must see the plague, and he must quarantine42 the plague seven days.
  51. When he has seen the plague on the seventh day, that the plague has spread in the garment or in the warp or in the woof43 or in the skin for any use for which the skin may be made, the plague is malignant leprosy.44 It is unclean.
  52. And he must burn the garment or the warp or the woof in the wool or in the linen,45 or any article of skin in which the plague may develop, because it is malignant46 leprosy. It should be burned in the fire.
  53. ¶ “But if the priest takes a look, and, there now, the plague has not spread in the garment or in the warp or in the woof or in any article of skin,47
  54. the priest must also command that they should wash that in which the plague is, and he must quarantine it a second seven days.
  55. And the priest must look at the plague after it has been washed out, and if the plague has not changed its look and yet the plague has not spread, it is unclean. You should burn it in the fire. It is a low spot in a threadbare patch on either its underside or its outside.
  56. ¶ “But if the priest has taken a look, and, there now, the plague is dull after it has been washed out, he must then tear it out of the garment or the skin or the warp or the woof.
  57. However, if it still appears in the garment or in the warp or in the woof48 or in any article of skin, it is breaking out. You should burn49 in the fire whatever it is in which the plague is.
  58. As for the garment or the warp or the woof or any article of skin that you may wash, when the plague has disappeared from them, it must then be washed a second time; and it must be clean.
  59. ¶ “This is the law of the plague of leprosy in a garment of wool or of linen,50 or in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of skin, in order to pronounce it clean or to declare it unclean.”

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
