Chapter 11 of JeremiahNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ The word that occurred to Jeremiah[a] from Jehovah, saying:
  2. “Hear the words of this covenant, YOU men!
¶ “And you must speak1 them to the men[b] of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
  3. and you must say to them, ‘This is what Jehovah the God of Israel has said: “Cursed is the man[c] that does not listen to the words of this covenant,2
  4. which I commanded YOUR forefathers in the day of my bringing them out of the land of Egypt,3 out of the furnace of iron,4 saying, ‘Obey my voice, and YOU must do things according to all that I command YOU;5 and YOU will certainly become my people and I myself shall become YOUR God,[d]6
  5. for the purpose of carrying out the oath that I swore to YOUR forefathers,7 to give them the land flowing with milk and honey,8 as in this day.’”’”
¶ And I proceeded to answer and say: “Amen,[e] O Jehovah.”
  6. ¶ And Jehovah went on to say to me: “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem,9 saying, ‘Hear, YOU people, the words of this covenant, and YOU must do them.10
  7. For I solemnly admonished YOUR forefathers in the day of my bringing them up out of the land of Egypt11 and down to this day, rising up early and admonishing, saying: “Obey my voice.”12
  8. But they did not listen or incline their ear,13 but they kept walking each one in the stubbornness of their bad heart;14 and so I brought upon them all the words of this covenant that I commanded [them] to do, but that they did not do.’”
  9. ¶ Furthermore, Jehovah said to me: “Conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.15
  10. They have returned to the errors of their forefathers,16 the first ones, who refused to obey[f] my words, but who themselves have walked after other gods[g] in order to serve them.17 The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant that I concluded with their forefathers.18
  11. Therefore this is what Jehovah has said, ‘Here I am bringing upon them a calamity19 that they will not be able to get out of;20 and they will certainly call to me for aid, but I shall not listen to them.21
  12. And the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will have to go and call for aid to the gods[h] to which they are making sacrificial smoke,22 but which will positively bring no salvation to them in the time of their calamity.23
  13. For your gods have become as many as your cities, O Judah;24 and as many altars as the streets of Jerusalem YOU people have placed for the shameful thing,25 altars to make sacrificial smoke to Baʹal.’26
  14. ¶ “And as for you, do not pray in behalf of this people, and do not lift up in their behalf an entreating cry or a prayer,27 for I shall not be listening in the time of their calling out to me in regard to their calamity.[i]28
  15. ¶ “What business does my beloved one have in my house,29 that many of them should do this thing,30 the [evil] device?31 And with holy flesh will they make [it] pass over from upon you,32 when your calamity [comes]? At that time will you exult?33
  16. ‘A luxuriant olive tree, pretty with fruit [and] in form,’ is what Jehovah has called your name.34 With sound of the great roaring, he has set a fire blazing against her, and they have broken its branches.35
  17. ¶ “And Jehovah of armies himself, the Planter of you,[j]36 has spoken against you a calamity on account of the badness of the house of Israel37 and the house of Judah that they have committed on their own part to offend me in making sacrificial smoke to Baʹal.”38
  18. ¶ And Jehovah himself has informed me that I may know. At that time you caused me to see their dealings.39
  19. And I was like a male lamb, an intimate one, that is brought to slaughter,40 and I did not know that it was against me that they thought out schemes:41 “Let us bring to ruin the tree with its food, and let us cut him off from the land of the living ones,42 that his very name may no more be remembered.”
  20. But Jehovah of armies is judging with righteousness;43 he is examining the kidneys[k] and the heart.44 O may I see your vengeance on them, for it is to you that I have revealed my case at law.45
  21. ¶ Therefore this is what Jehovah has said against the men of Anʹa·thoth46 who are seeking for your soul,[l] saying: “You must not prophesy in the name of Jehovah,47 that you may not die at our hand”;
  22. therefore this is what Jehovah of armies has said: “Here I am turning my attention upon them. The young men themselves will die by the sword.48 Their sons and their daughters themselves will die by the famine.49
  23. And not even a remnant will there come to be for them, because I shall bring calamity upon the men of Anʹa·thoth,50 the year of their being given attention.”51

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
