Chapter 7 of IsaiahNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ Now it came about in the days of Aʹhaz1 the son of Joʹtham the son of Uz·ziʹah, the king of Judah, that Reʹzin2 the king of Syria and Peʹkah3 the son of Rem·a·liʹah,[a] the king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem for war against it, and he[b] proved unable to war against it.4
  2. And a report was made to the house of David, saying: “Syria has leaned[c] upon Eʹphra·im.”5
¶ And his heart and the heart of his people began to quiver, like the quivering of the trees of the forest because of a wind.[d]6
  3. ¶ And Jehovah proceeded to say to Isaiah: “Go out, please, to meet Aʹhaz, you and Sheʹar-jaʹshub[e]7 your son, to the end of the conduit8 of the upper pool by the highway of the laundryman’s field.9
  4. And you must say to him, ‘Watch yourself and keep undisturbed.10 Do not be afraid, and do not let your heart itself be timid11 because of the two tail ends of these smoking logs, because of the hot anger of Reʹzin and Syria and the son of Rem·a·liʹah,12
  5. for the reason that Syria [with] Eʹphra·im and the son of Rem·a·liʹah has advised what is bad against you, saying:
  6. “Let us go up against Judah and tear it apart and by breakthroughs take it for ourselves; and let us make another king reign inside it, the son of Tabʹe·el.”13
  7. ¶ “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “It will not stand, neither will it take place.14
  8. For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Reʹzin; and within just sixty-five years Eʹphra·im will be shattered to pieces so as not to be a people.15
  9. And the head of Eʹphra·im is Sa·marʹi·a,16 and the head of Sa·marʹi·a is the son of Rem·a·liʹah.17 Unless YOU people have faith, YOU will in that case not be of long duration.”’”18
  10. ¶ And Jehovah went on speaking some more to Aʹhaz, saying:
  11. “Ask for yourself a sign from Jehovah your God,19 making it as deep as Sheʹol[f] or making it high as the upper regions.”
  12. But Aʹhaz said: “I shall not ask, neither shall I put Jehovah to the test.”
  13. ¶ And he proceeded to say: “Listen, please, O house of David. Is it such a little thing for YOU to tire out men, that YOU should also tire out my God?20
  14. Therefore Jehovah[g] himself will give YOU men a sign: Look! The maiden[h]21 herself will actually become pregnant,22 and she is giving birth to a son,23 and she will certainly call his name Im·manʹu·el.[i]
  15. Butter and honey he will eat by the time that he knows how to reject the bad and choose the good.24
  16. For before the boy will know how to reject the bad and choose the good,25 the ground of whose two kings you are feeling a sickening dread will be left entirely.26
  17. Jehovah will bring against you27 and against your people and against the house of your father days such as have not come since the day of Eʹphra·im’s turning away from alongside Judah,28 namely, the king of As·syrʹi·a.[j]29
  18. ¶ “And it must occur in that day that Jehovah will whistle for the flies[k] that are at the extremity of the Nile canals of Egypt and for the bees[l]30 that are in the land of As·syrʹi·a,31
  19. and they will certainly come in and settle down, all of them, upon the precipitous torrent valleys and upon the clefts of the crags and upon all the thorn thickets and upon all the watering places.[m]32
  20. ¶ “In that day, by means of a hired razor in the region of the River,33 even by means of the king of As·syrʹi·a,34 Jehovah[n] will shave the head and the hair of the feet,[o] and it[p] will sweep away even the beard itself.35
  21. ¶ “And it must occur in that day that an individual[q] will preserve alive a young cow of the herd and two sheep.36
  22. And it must occur that, due to the abundance of the producing of milk, he will eat butter; because butter and honey37 are what everyone left remaining in the midst of the land[r] will eat.
  23. ¶ “And it must occur in that day that every place where there used to be a thousand vines, worth a thousand pieces of silver,38 will come to be—for the thornbushes and for the weeds it will come to be.39
  24. With arrows and the bow he[s] will come there,40 because all the land will become mere thornbushes and weeds.
  25. And all the mountains that used to be cleared of troublesome plants with a hoe—you will not come there for fear of thornbushes and weeds; and it will certainly become a place for letting bulls loose and a trampling ground of sheep.”41

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
