Chapter 30 of IsaiahNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ “Woe to the stubborn sons,”1 is the utterance of Jehovah, “[those disposed] to carry out counsel, but not that from me;2 and to pour out a libation,[a] but not with my spirit, in order to add sin to sin;3
  2. those who are setting out to go down to Egypt4 and who have not inquired of my own mouth,5 to take shelter in the stronghold of Pharʹaoh and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!6
  3. And the stronghold of Pharʹaoh must become even for YOU men a reason for shame,7 and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt a cause for humiliation.8
  4. For his princes have come to be in Zoʹan9 itself, and his own envoys[b] reach even Haʹnes.
  5. Every one will certainly become ashamed of a people that bring no benefit to one, that are of no help and bring no benefit, but are a reason for shame and also a cause for reproach.”10
  6. ¶ The pronouncement against the beasts of the south:[c]11 Through[d] the land of distress12 and hard conditions, of the lion and the leopard growling,[e] of the viper and the flying fiery snake,13 on the shoulders of full-grown asses they carry their resources, and on the humps of camels14 their supplies. In behalf of the people they will prove of no benefit.
  7. And the Egyptians are mere vanity, and they will help simply for nothing.15 Therefore I have called this one:[f] “Raʹhab16—they are for sitting still.”
  8. ¶ “Now come, write it upon a tablet with them, and inscribe it even in a book,17 that it may serve for a future day, for a witness[g] to time indefinite.18
  9. For it is a rebellious people,19 untruthful sons,20 sons who have been unwilling to hear the law of Jehovah;21
  10. who have said to the ones seeing, ‘YOU must not see,’ and to the ones having visions, ‘YOU must not envision for us any straightforward things.22 Speak to us smooth[h] things; envision deceptive things.23
  11. Turn aside from the way; deviate from the path.24 Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease just on account of us.’”25
  12. ¶ Therefore this is what the Holy One of Israel has said: “In view of YOUR rejecting of this word,26 and [since] YOU men trust in defrauding and in what is devious and YOU support yourselves on it,27
  13. therefore for YOU this error will become like a broken section about to fall down, a swelling out in a highly raised wall,28 the breakdown of which may come suddenly, in an instant.29
  14. And one will certainly break it as in the breaking of a large jar of the potters,30 crushed to pieces without one’s sparing [it], so that there cannot be found among its crushed pieces a fragment of earthenware with which to rake the fire from the fireplace or to skim water from a marshy place.”[i]31
  15. ¶ For this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel,32 has said: “By coming back and resting YOU people will be saved. YOUR mightiness will prove to be simply in keeping undisturbed and in trustfulness.”33 But YOU were not willing.34
  16. And YOU proceeded to say: “No, but on horses we shall flee!”35 That is why YOU will flee. “And on swift [horses] we shall ride!”36 That is why those pursuing YOU will show themselves swift.37
  17. A thousand will tremble[j] on account of the rebuke of one;38 on account of the rebuke of five YOU will flee until YOU will have remained over like a mast on the top of a mountain and like a signal[k] on a hill.39
  18. ¶ And therefore Jehovah will keep in expectation of showing YOU favor,40 and therefore he will rise up to show YOU mercy.41 For Jehovah is a God of judgment.[l]42 Happy43 are all those keeping in expectation of him.44
  19. When the very people in Zion45 will dwell in Jerusalem,46 you[m] will by no means weep.47 He[n] will without fail show you favor at the sound of your outcry; as soon as he hears it he will actually answer you.48
  20. And Jehovah[o] will certainly give YOU people bread in the form of distress and water in the form of oppression;49 yet your Grand Instructor[p] will no longer hide himself, and your eyes must become [eyes] seeing your Grand Instructor.50
  21. And your own ears will hear a word behind you saying: “This is the way.51 Walk in it, YOU people,” in case YOU people should go to the right or in case YOU should go to the left.52
  22. ¶ And YOU people[q] must defile the overlaying of your[r] graven images of silver53 and the close-fitting covering of your molten54 statue of gold.55 You will scatter them.56 Like a menstruating woman, you will say to it: “Mere dirt!”57
  23. And he will certainly give the rain for your seed with which you sow the ground,58 and as the produce of the ground bread, which must become fat and oily.59 Your livestock will graze in that day in a spacious pasture.60
  24. And the cattle and the full-grown asses cultivating the ground will eat fodder seasoned with sorrel, which was winnowed with the shovel61 and with the fork.
  25. And upon every high mountain and upon every elevated hill there must come to be streams,62 water ditches, in the day of the big slaughter when the towers fall.63
  26. And the light of the full moon must become as the light of the glowing [sun]; and the very light of the glowing [sun] will become seven times as much,64 like the light of seven days, in the day that Jehovah binds up the breakdown65 of his people and heals66 even the severe wound resulting from the stroke by him.
  27. ¶ Look! The name of Jehovah is coming from far away, burning with his anger67 and with heavy clouds. As for his lips, they have become full of denunciation, and his tongue is like a devouring fire.68
  28. And his spirit[s] is like a flooding torrent that reaches clear to the neck,69 to swing the nations to and fro with a sieve70 of worthlessness; and a bridle71 that causes one to wander about will be in the jaws of the peoples.72
  29. YOU people will come to have a song73 like that in the night that one sanctifies oneself for a festival,74 and rejoicing of heart like that of one walking with a flute75 to enter into the mountain of Jehovah,76 to the Rock[t] of Israel.77
  30. ¶ And Jehovah will certainly make the dignity of his voice78 to be heard and will make the descending of his arm to be seen,79 in the raging of anger80 and the flame of a devouring fire81 [and] cloudburst and rainstorm82 and hailstones.83
  31. For because of the voice of Jehovah As·syrʹi·a will be struck with terror;84 he will strike [it] even with a staff.85
  32. And every swing of his rod of chastisement[u] that Jehovah will cause to settle down upon [As·syrʹi·a] will certainly prove to be with tambourines and with harps;86 and with battles of brandishing[v] he will actually fight against them.87
  33. For his Toʹpheth[w]88 is set in order from recent times; it is also prepared for the king himself.89 He has made its pile deep. Fire and wood are in abundance. The breath[x] of Jehovah, like a torrent of sulphur, is burning against it.90

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

When i do read some comments and seeing that its the same people that are supposed to be called believers but are talking ill of other denominations, it hurts. Let us all remember that We should judge not

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
