Chapter 28 of ExodusNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ “And as for you, bring near to yourself Aaron your brother and his sons with him from the midst of the sons of Israel that he may act as priest to me,1 Aaron,2 Naʹdab and A·biʹhu,3 El·e·aʹzar and Ithʹa·mar,4 the sons of Aaron.
  2. And you must make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and beauty.5
  3. And you yourself are to speak to all the ones wise with a heart that I have filled with the spirit of wisdom,6 and they must make Aaron’s garments for sanctifying him, that he may act as priest to me.7
  4. ¶ “And these are the garments that they will make: a breastpiece,8 and an ephʹod9 and a sleeveless coat10 and a robe of checkerwork, a turban11 and a sash;[a]12 and they must make the holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may act as priest to me.
  5. And they themselves will take the gold and the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple and coccus scarlet material and the fine linen.
  6. ¶ “And they must make the ephʹod of gold, blue thread and wool dyed reddish purple, coccus scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer.13
  7. And it is to have two shoulder pieces to be joined at its two extremities, and it must be joined.14
  8. And the girdle,15 which is upon it for tying it close, according to its workmanship should be of its materials, of gold, blue thread and wool dyed reddish purple and coccus scarlet material and fine twisted linen.
  9. ¶ “And you must take two onyx[b]16 stones and engrave17 upon them the names of the sons of Israel,18
  10. six of their names upon the one stone and the names of the six remaining ones upon the other stone in the order of their births.19
  11. With the work of a craftsman in stones, with the engravings of a seal, you are to engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel.20 Set in settings of gold is how you will make them.21
  12. And you must put the two stones upon the shoulder pieces of the ephʹod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel;22 and Aaron must carry their names before Jehovah upon his two shoulder pieces as a memorial.
  13. And you must make settings of gold,
  14. and two chains of pure gold.23 As cords you will make them, with the workmanship of a rope; and you must attach the ropelike chains to the settings.24
  15. ¶ “And you must make the breastpiece of judgment25 with the workmanship of an embroiderer. Like the workmanship of the ephʹod you will make it. Of gold, blue thread and wool dyed reddish purple and coccus scarlet material and fine twisted linen you will make it.26
  16. It should be foursquare when doubled, a span of the hand[c] being its length and a span of the hand its width.27
  17. And you must fill it with a filling of stones, there being four rows of stones.28 A row of ruby,29 topaz30 and emerald31 is the first row.
  18. And the second row is turquoise,32 sapphire33 and jasper.34
  19. And the third row is leshʹem stone,[d] agate[e]35 and amethyst.36
  20. And the fourth row is chrysʹo·lite[f]37 and onyx38 and jade. Sockets of gold should be in their fillings.39
  21. And the stones should be according to the names of the sons of Israel, the twelve according to their names.40 With the engravings of a seal they should be, each one according to its name, for the twelve tribes.41
  22. ¶ “And you must make upon the breastpiece wreathed chains, in ropework, of pure gold.42
  23. And you must make upon the breastpiece two rings of gold,43 and you must put the two rings upon the two extremities of the breastpiece.
  24. And you must put the two ropes of gold through the two rings at the extremities of the breastpiece.44
  25. And you will put the two ends of the two ropes through the two settings, and you must put them upon the shoulder pieces of the ephʹod, at the forefront of it.45
  26. And you must make two rings of gold and set them at the two extremities of the breastpiece upon its edge that is on the side toward the ephʹod inward.46
  27. And you must make two rings of gold and put them upon the two shoulder pieces of the ephʹod from below, on its forefront, near its place of joining, above the girdle of the ephʹod.47
  28. And they will bind the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephʹod with a blue string, that it may continue above the girdle of the ephʹod and the breastpiece may not get displaced from on top the ephʹod.48
  29. ¶ “And Aaron must carry the names of the sons of Israel on the breastpiece of judgment over his heart when he comes into the Holy as a memorial before Jehovah constantly.
  30. And you must put the Uʹrim49 and the Thumʹmim[g] into the breastpiece of judgment, and they must prove to be over Aaron’s heart when he comes in before Jehovah; and Aaron must carry the judgments[h]50 of the sons of Israel over his heart before Jehovah constantly.
  31. ¶ “And you must make the sleeveless coat of the ephʹod completely of blue thread.51
  32. And there must be an opening at its top[i] in the middle of it. Its opening should have a border round about, the product of a loom worker. Like the opening of a coat of mail it should be for it, that it may not be torn.52
  33. And you must make upon the hem of it pomegranates of blue thread and wool dyed reddish purple and coccus scarlet material, upon its hem round about, and bells53 of gold in between them round about;
  34. a bell of gold and a pomegranate, a bell of gold and a pomegranate upon the hem[j] of the sleeveless coat round about.54
  35. And it must be upon Aaron that he may minister, and the sound from him must be heard when he goes into the sanctuary[k] before Jehovah and when he comes out, that he may not die.55
  36. ¶ “And you must make a shining plate of pure gold and engrave upon it with the engravings of a seal, ‘Holiness belongs to Jehovah.’56
  37. And you must fasten it with a blue string, and it must come to be upon the turban.57 On the forefront of the turban it should come to be.
  38. And it must come to be upon Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron must answer for the error committed against the holy objects,58 which the sons of Israel will sanctify, that is to say, all their holy gifts; and it must stay upon his forehead constantly, to gain approval for them59 before Jehovah.
  39. ¶ “And you must weave in checkerwork the robe of fine linen and make a turban of fine linen,60 and you will make a sash,61 the work of a weaver.
  40. ¶ “And for Aaron’s sons you will make robes,62 and you must make sashes for them, and you will make headgears63 for them for glory and beauty.64
  41. And with them you must clothe Aaron your brother and his sons with him, and you must anoint them65 and fill their hand with power[l]66 and sanctify them, and they must act as priests to me.
  42. And make drawers of linen for them to cover the naked flesh.67 From the hips and to the thighs they are to extend.
  43. And they must be upon Aaron and his sons when they come into the tent of meeting or when they go near to the altar to minister in the holy place, that they may not incur error and certainly die. It is a statute to time indefinite for him and his offspring after him.68

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

When i do read some comments and seeing that its the same people that are supposed to be called believers but are talking ill of other denominations, it hurts. Let us all remember that We should judge not

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
