Chapter 15 of ExodusNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ At that time Moses and the sons of Israel proceeded to sing this song to Jehovah and to say the following:1
¶ “Let me sing to Jehovah, for he has become highly exalted.2
The horse and its rider he has pitched into the sea.3
  2. ¶ My strength and [my] might[a] is Jah,[b]4 since he serves for my salvation.5
This is my God, and I shall laud him;6 my father’s God,7 and I shall raise him on high.8
  3. ¶ Jehovah is a manly person of war.9 Jehovah is his name.10
  4. ¶ Pharʹaoh’s chariots and his military forces he has cast into the sea,11
And the choice of his warriors have been sunk in the Red Sea.12
  5. ¶ The surging waters[c] proceeded to cover them;13 down they went into the depths like a stone.14
  6. ¶ Your right hand, O Jehovah, is proving itself powerful in ability,15
Your right hand, O Jehovah, can shatter an enemy.16
  7. ¶ And in the abundance of your superiority you can throw down those who rise up against you;17
You send out your burning anger, it eats them up like stubble.18
  8. ¶ And by a breath[d] from your nostrils[e]19 waters were heaped up;
      They stood still like a dam of floods;
The surging waters were congealed in the heart of the sea.
  9. ¶ The enemy said, ‘I shall pursue!20 I shall overtake!21
I shall divide spoil!22 My soul will be filled with them!
I shall draw my sword! My hand will drive them away!’[f]23
  10. ¶ You blew with your breath,24 the sea covered them;25
They sank like lead in majestic waters.26
  11. ¶ Who among the gods[g] is like you, O Jehovah?27
Who is like you, proving yourself mighty in holiness?28
The One to be feared29 with songs of praise,30 the One doing marvels.31
  12. ¶ You stretched out your right hand,32 the earth proceeded to swallow them up.33
  13. ¶ You in your loving-kindness[h] have led the people whom you have recovered;[i]34
You in your strength will certainly conduct them to your holy abiding place.35
  14. ¶ Peoples must[j] hear,36 they will be agitated;37
Birth pangs38 must take hold on the inhabitants of Phi·lisʹti·a.
  15. ¶ At that time the sheiks of Eʹdom will indeed be disturbed;
As for the despots of Moʹab, trembling will take hold on them.39
All the inhabitants of Caʹnaan will indeed be disheartened.40
  16. ¶ Fright and dread will fall upon them.41
Because of the greatness of your arm they will be motionless like a stone,
¶ Until your people42 pass by, O Jehovah,
Until the people whom you have produced[k]43 pass by.44
  17. ¶ You will bring them and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance,[l]45
An established place[m] that you have made ready for you to inhabit,46 O Jehovah,
      A sanctuary,47 O Jehovah,[n] that your hands have established.
  18. ¶ Jehovah will rule as king to time indefinite, even forever.48
  19. ¶ When Pharʹaoh’s horses49 with his war chariots and his cavalrymen went into the sea,50
Then Jehovah brought back the waters of the sea upon them,51
While the sons of Israel walked on dry land through the midst of the sea.”52
  20. ¶ And Mirʹi·am the prophetess, Aaron’s sister,53 proceeded to take a tambourine in her hand;54 and all the women began going out with her with tambourines and in dances.[o]55
  21. And Mirʹi·am kept responding to the men:[p]56
¶ “Sing[q] to Jehovah,57 for he has become highly exalted.58
¶ The horse and its rider he has pitched into the sea.”59
  22. ¶ Later Moses caused Israel to depart from the Red Sea and they went out to the wilderness of Shur60 and marched on for three days in the wilderness, but they did not find water.61
  23. In time they came to Maʹrah,62 but they were not able to drink the water from Maʹrah because it was bitter. That is why he called its name Maʹrah.[r]63
  24. And the people began to murmur against Moses,64 saying: “What are we to drink?”
  25. Then he cried out to Jehovah.65 So Jehovah directed him to a tree, and he threw it into the water and the water became sweet.66
¶ There He established for them[s] a regulation and a case for judgment and there he put them to the test.67
  26. And he went on to say: “If you will strictly listen to the voice of Jehovah your God and will do what is right in his eyes and will indeed give ear to his commandments and keep all his regulations,68 I shall put none of the maladies upon you that I put upon the Egyptians;69 because I am Jehovah who is healing you.”70
  27. ¶ After that they came to Eʹlim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees.71 So they went camping there by the water.

When i do read some comments and seeing that its the same people that are supposed to be called believers but are talking ill of other denominations, it hurts. Let us all remember that We should judge not

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.
