Chapter 33 of 2 ChroniclesNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ Twelve years old was Ma·nasʹseh1 when he began to reign, and for fifty-five years he reigned in Jerusalem.2
  2. ¶ And he proceeded to do what was bad in Jehovah’s eyes,3 according to the detestable4 things of the nations that Jehovah had driven out from before the sons of Israel.5
  3. So he built again the high places6 that Hez·e·kiʹah his father had pulled down,7 and set up altars8 to the Baʹals9 and made sacred poles,10 and he began to bow11 down to all the army of the heavens12 and serve them.13
  4. And he built altars14 in the house of Jehovah, respecting which Jehovah had said: “In Jerusalem my name will prove to be to time indefinite.”15
  5. And he went on to build altars to all the army of the heavens16 in two courtyards17 of the house of Jehovah.18
  6. And he himself made his own sons pass through the fire19 in the valley of the son of Hinʹnom,[a]20 and practiced magic21 and used divination22 and practiced sorcery23 and made spiritistic mediums24 and professional foretellers25 of events. He did on a grand scale what was bad in the eyes of Jehovah, to offend him.26
  7. ¶ Furthermore, he put the carved image27 that he had made in the house of the [true] God,28 respecting which God had said to David and to Solʹo·mon his son: “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen29 out of all the tribes of Israel, I shall put my name30 to time indefinite.31
  8. And I shall not remove the foot of Israel again from off the ground that I assigned32 to their[b] forefathers,33 provided only that they take care to do all that I have commanded them34 concerning all the law35 and the regulations36 and the judicial decisions37 by the hand of Moses.”38
  9. And Ma·nasʹseh39 kept seducing Judah40 and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do worse41 than the nations that Jehovah had annihilated from before the sons of Israel.42
  10. ¶ And Jehovah kept speaking to Ma·nasʹseh and his people, but they paid no attention.43
  11. Finally Jehovah brought against them44 the chiefs of the army that belonged to the king of As·syrʹi·a,45 and so they captured Ma·nasʹseh in the hollows46 and bound47 him with two fetters of copper and took him to Babylon.
  12. And as soon as it caused him distress,48 he softened the face of Jehovah his God49 and kept humbling50 himself greatly because of the God of his forefathers.
  13. And he kept praying to Him, so that He let himself be entreated51 by him and He heard his request for favor and restored him to Jerusalem to his kingship;52 and Ma·nasʹseh came to know that Jehovah is the [true] God.53
  14. ¶ And after this he built an outer54 wall for the City of David55 to the west of Giʹhon56 in the torrent valley and as far as the Fish Gate,57 and he ran [it] around to Oʹphel58 and proceeded to make it very high. Further, he put chiefs of the military force in all the fortified cities in Judah.59
  15. And he proceeded to remove the foreign gods[c]60 and the idol image61 from the house of Jehovah and all the altars62 that he had built in the mountain of the house of Jehovah and in Jerusalem and then had them thrown outside the city.
  16. Moreover, he prepared the altar of Jehovah63 and began to sacrifice upon it communion sacrifices64 and thanksgiving sacrifices65 and went on to say to Judah to serve Jehovah the God of Israel.66
  17. Nevertheless, the people were still sacrificing upon the high places;67 only it was to Jehovah their God.
  18. ¶ As for the rest of the affairs of Ma·nasʹseh and his prayer68 to his God and the words of the visionaries69 that kept speaking to him in the name of Jehovah the God of Israel, there they are among the affairs of the kings of Israel.70
  19. As for his prayer71 and how his entreaty72 was granted him and all his sin73 and his unfaithfulness74 and the locations in which he built high places75 and set up the sacred poles[d]76 and the graven images77 before he humbled78 himself, there they are written among the words of his visionaries.[e]
  20. Finally Ma·nasʹseh lay down with his forefathers,79 and they buried80 him at his house; and Aʹmon81 his son began to reign in place of him.
  21. ¶ Twenty-two years old was Aʹmon82 when he began to reign, and for two years he reigned in Jerusalem.83
  22. And he proceeded to do what was bad in Jehovah’s eyes,84 just as Ma·nasʹseh his father had done;85 and to all the graven images86 that Ma·nasʹseh87 his father had made Aʹmon sacrificed,88 and he continued serving them.89
  23. And he did not humble90 himself because of Jehovah the same as Ma·nasʹseh his father humbled himself,91 for Aʹmon was one that made guiltiness increase.92
  24. Finally his servants conspired93 against him and put him to death in his own house.94
  25. But the people of the land struck down95 all the conspirators96 against King Aʹmon,97 and the people98 of the land then made Jo·siʹah99 his son king in place of him.

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
