Chapter 30 of 2 ChroniclesNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And Hez·e·kiʹah proceeded to send to all Israel1 and Judah, and even letters he wrote to Eʹphra·im2 and Ma·nasʹseh,3 to come to the house of Jehovah4 in Jerusalem to hold the passover5 to Jehovah the God of Israel.
  2. However, the king and his princes6 and all the congregation7 in Jerusalem resolved to hold the passover in the second month;8
  3. for they had not been able to hold it at that time,9 because not enough priests,10 on the one hand, had sanctified themselves and the people, on the other hand, had not gathered themselves to Jerusalem.
  4. And the thing was right in the eyes of the king and in the eyes of all the congregation.11
  5. So they decided to have the call[a]12 pass through all Israel, from Beʹer-sheʹba13 to Dan,14 to come and hold the passover to Jehovah the God of Israel at Jerusalem; for it was not as a multitude that they had done so15 according to what is written.16
  6. ¶ Accordingly the runners17 with the letters from the hand of the king and of his princes18 went throughout all Israel and Judah, even according to the commandment of the king, saying: “YOU sons of Israel, return19 to Jehovah the God20 of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that he may return to the escaped21 ones that are left of YOU out of the palm of the kings of As·syrʹi·a.22
  7. And do not become like YOUR forefathers23 and like YOUR brothers that acted unfaithfully toward Jehovah the God of their forefathers, so that he constituted them an object of astonishment,24 just as YOU are seeing.
  8. Now do not stiffen YOUR neck25 as YOUR forefathers did. Give place[b] to Jehovah26 and come to his sanctuary27 that he has sanctified28 to time indefinite and serve29 Jehovah YOUR God, that his burning anger30 may turn back from YOU.
  9. For when YOU return31 to Jehovah, YOUR brothers and YOUR sons will be objects of mercy32 before those holding them captive, and be allowed to return to this land;33 for Jehovah YOUR God is gracious34 and merciful,35 and he will not turn away the face from YOU if YOU return to him.”36
  10. ¶ So the runners37 continued on, passing along from city to city throughout the land of Eʹphra·im38 and Ma·nasʹseh, even to Zebʹu·lun; but they were continually speaking in mockery of them and deriding them.39
  11. Only individuals40 from Ashʹer and Ma·nasʹseh and from Zebʹu·lun humbled41 themselves so that they came to Jerusalem.
  12. The hand of the [true] God proved to be also in Judah to give them one heart42 to perform the commandment43 of the king and the princes in the matter of Jehovah.44
  13. ¶ And they proceeded to gather themselves together at Jerusalem,45 a numerous people, to hold the festival46 of the unfermented cakes in the second47 month, a congregation very multitudinous.
  14. Then they rose up and removed the altars48 that were in Jerusalem, and all the incense altars49 they removed and then threw [them] into the torrent valley of Kidʹron.50
  15. After that they slaughtered the passover51 victim on the fourteenth [day] of the second month; and the priests and the Levites themselves had been humiliated, so that they sanctified52 themselves and brought burnt offerings to the house of Jehovah.
  16. And they kept standing53 at their place according to their rule, according to the law of Moses the man of the [true] God,[c] the priests54 sprinkling the blood received from the hand of the Levites.
  17. For there were many in the congregation that had not sanctified themselves; and the Levites55 were in charge of slaughtering the passover victims56 for all that were not clean, to sanctify them to Jehovah.
  18. For there was a great number of the people, many from Eʹphra·im57 and Ma·nasʹseh,58 Isʹsa·char and Zebʹu·lun,59 that had not cleansed60 themselves, for they did not eat the passover according to what is written;61 but Hez·e·kiʹah prayed for them,62 saying: “May the good63 Jehovah himself make allowance for
  19. every one that has prepared his heart64 to search for the [true] God, Jehovah, the God of his forefathers, though without the purification for what is holy.”65
  20. Accordingly Jehovah listened to Hez·e·kiʹah and healed the people.66
  21. ¶ So the sons of Israel that were found in Jerusalem held the festival67 of the unfermented cakes seven days with great rejoicing;68 and the Levites69 and the priests70 were offering praise to Jehovah day by day with loud instruments, even to Jehovah.71
  22. Moreover, Hez·e·kiʹah spoke to the heart72 of all the Levites who were acting with fine discretion toward Jehovah.73 And they proceeded to eat the appointed feast for seven days,74 sacrificing communion sacrifices75 and making confession76 to Jehovah the God of their forefathers.
  23. ¶ Then all the congregation decided77 to hold it for seven more days,78 and so they held it for seven days with rejoicing.
  24. For Hez·e·kiʹah the king of Judah himself contributed79 for the congregation a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the princes80 themselves contributed for the congregation a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and priests81 kept sanctifying themselves in great number.
  25. And all the congregation of Judah82 and the priests and the Levites83 and all the congregation that came from Israel84 and the alien residents[d]85 that came from the land of Israel86 and those dwelling in Judah continued rejoicing.87
  26. And there came to be great rejoicing in Jerusalem, for from the days of Solʹo·mon88 the son of David the king of Israel there was none like this in Jerusalem.89
  27. Finally the priests, the Levites, stood up and blessed90 the people; and a hearing was granted to their voice, so that their prayer came to his holy dwelling, the heavens.91

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
