Chapter 5 of 1 ChroniclesNew World Translation (NWT)

  1. ¶ And the sons of Reuʹben1 the firstborn of Israel—for he was the firstborn;2 but for his profaning the lounge of his father3 his right as firstborn was given to the sons of Joseph4 the son of Israel, so that he was not to be enrolled genealogically for the right of the firstborn.
  2. For Judah5 himself proved to be superior among his brothers, and the one for leader was from him;6 but the right as firstborn was Joseph’s7
  3. the sons of Reuʹben the firstborn of Israel were Haʹnoch8 and Palʹlu,9 Hezʹron and Carʹmi.10
  4. The sons of Joel were She·maiʹah his son, Gog his son, Shimʹe·i his son,
  5. Miʹcah his son, Re·aʹiah his son, Baʹal his son,
  6. Be·erʹah his son, whom Tilʹgath-pil·neʹser11 the king of As·syrʹi·a took into exile, he being a chieftain of the Reuʹben·ites.
  7. And his brothers by their families in the genealogical12 enrollment by their descendants were, as the head, Je·iʹel, and Zech·a·riʹah,
  8. and Beʹla the son of Aʹzaz the son of Sheʹma the son of Joel13—he was dwelling in A·roʹer14 and as far as Neʹbo15 and Baʹal-meʹon.16
  9. Even to the east he dwelt as far as where one enters the wilderness at the river Eu·phraʹtes,17 for their livestock itself had become numerous in the land of Gilʹe·ad.18
  10. And in the days of Saul they made war upon the Hagʹrites,19 who came to fall by their hand; and so they dwelt in their tents throughout all the country east[a] of Gilʹe·ad.
  11. ¶ As for the sons of Gad20 in front of them, they dwelt in the land of Baʹshan21 as far as Salʹe·cah.22
  12. Joel was the head, and Shaʹpham the second, and Jaʹnai and Shaʹphat in Baʹshan.
  13. And their brothers belonging to the house of their forefathers were Miʹcha·el and Me·shulʹlam and Sheʹba and Joʹrai and Jaʹcan and Ziʹa and Eʹber, seven.
  14. These were the sons of Abʹi·ha·il the son of Huʹri, the son of Ja·roʹah, the son of Gilʹe·ad, the son of Miʹcha·el, the son of Je·shishʹai, the son of Jahʹdo, the son of Buz;
  15. Aʹhi the son of Abʹdi·el, the son of Guʹni, head of the house of their forefathers.
  16. And they continued to dwell in Gilʹe·ad,23 in Baʹshan24 and in its dependent towns25 and in all the pasture grounds of Sharʹon as far as their terminations.
  17. They were all of them enrolled genealogically in the days of Joʹtham26 the king of Judah and in the days of Jer·o·boʹam[b]27 the king of Israel.
  18. ¶ As for the sons of Reuʹben and the Gadʹites and the half tribe of Ma·nasʹseh; of those who were valiant28 fellows, men carrying shield and sword and bending the bow[c] and trained in war, there were forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty going out to the army.29
  19. And they began to make war upon the Hagʹrites,30 and Jeʹtur31 and Naʹphish32 and Noʹdab.
  20. And they came to be helped against them, so that the Hagʹrites and all those who were with them were given into their hand, for it was to God that they called for aid33 in the war, and he let himself be entreated in their favor because they trusted in him.34
  21. And they got to take captive their livestock,35 their camels fifty thousand, and sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and asses two thousand, and human souls[d] a hundred thousand.36
  22. For there were many that had fallen slain, because it was on the part of the [true] God that the fighting was.37 And they continued to dwell in their place down to the time of the exile.38
  23. ¶ As for the sons of the half tribe of Ma·nasʹseh,39 they dwelt in the land from Baʹshan40 to Baʹal-herʹmon41 and Seʹnir42 and Mount Herʹmon.43 They themselves became numerous.
  24. And these were the heads of the house of their forefathers: Eʹpher and Ishʹi and Eʹli·el and Azʹri·el and Jeremiah and Hod·a·viʹah and Jahʹdi·el, men that were valiant, mighty fellows, men of fame,[e] heads of the house of their forefathers.
  25. And they began to act unfaithfully toward the God of their forefathers and went having immoral intercourse44 with the gods45 of the peoples of the land, whom God had annihilated from before them.
  26. Consequently the God of Israel stirred up the spirit46 of Pul47 the king of As·syrʹi·a48 even the spirit of Tilʹgath-pil·neʹser49 the king of As·syrʹi·a, so that he took into exile50 those of the Reuʹben·ites and of the Gadʹites and of the half tribe of Ma·nasʹseh and brought them to Haʹlah51 and Haʹbor and Haʹra and the river Goʹzan [to continue] until this day.[f]

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

NWT is a false translation that takes away from the deity of Jesus !

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
