Book of Job, Chapter 27
Chapter 27 of Job
And the Almighty, 3who has embittered my soul,
And the [c]4breath of God is in my nostrils,
Nor will 5my tongue mutter deceit.
Till I die 6I will not put away my integrity from me.
My heart does not reproach any of my days.
And [d]my opponent as the unjust.
When God requires 9his [f]life?
When 11distress comes upon him?
Will he call on God at all times?
What is with the Almighty I will not conceal.
Why then do you [h]act foolishly?
And the inheritance which 14tyrants receive from the Almighty.
And his 16descendants will not be satisfied with bread.
And [j]their 17widows will not be able to weep.
And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,
And the innocent will divide the silver.
Or as a hut which the watchman has made.
He opens his eyes, and 20it is no longer.
A tempest steals him away 22in the night.
For it whirls him 24away from his place.
He will surely try to 26flee from its [m]power.
And will 27hiss him from his place.FOOTNOTES
