Chapter 40 of EzekielNew American Standard Bible (NASB)

  1. ¶ In the 1twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the 2city was [a]taken, on that same day the 3hand of the LORD was upon me and He brought me there.
  2. In the 4visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel and set me on a very 5high mountain, and on it 6to the south there was a 7structure like a city.
  3. So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of 8bronze, with a 9line of flax and a 10measuring [b]rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway.
  4. The man said to me, “11Son of man, 12see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and give attention to all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you. 13Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.”
  5. ¶ And behold, there was a 14wall on the outside of the [c]temple all around, and in the man’s hand was a measuring rod of six cubits, each of which was a cubit and a [d]handbreadth. So he measured the thickness of the [e]wall, one rod; and the height, one rod.
  6. Then he went to the gate which faced 15east, went up its steps and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod [f]in width; and the other threshold was one rod [g]in width.
  7. The 16guardroom was one rod long and one rod wide; and there were five cubits between the guardrooms. And the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate [h]facing inward was one rod.
  8. Then he measured the porch of the gate [i]facing inward, one rod.
  9. He measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its side pillars, two cubits. And the porch of the gate was [j]faced inward.
  10. The guardrooms of the gate toward the east numbered three on each side; the three of them had the same measurement. The side pillars also had the same measurement on each side.
  11. And he measured the width of the [k]gateway, ten cubits, and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.
  12. There was a [l]barrier wall one cubit wide in front of the guardrooms on each side; and the guardrooms were six cubits square on each side.
  13. He measured the gate from the roof of the one guardroom to the roof of the other, a width of twenty-five cubits from one door to the door opposite.
  14. He made the side pillars sixty cubits high; the gate extended round about to the side pillar of the 17courtyard.
  15. From the front of the entrance gate to the front of the inner porch of the gate was fifty cubits.
  16. There were [m]18shuttered windows looking toward the guardrooms, and toward their side pillars within the gate all around, and likewise for the porches. And there were windows all around inside; and on each side pillar were 19palm tree ornaments.
  17. ¶ Then he brought me into the 20outer court, and behold, there were 21chambers and a pavement made for the court all around; thirty chambers [n]faced the pavement.
  18. The pavement (that is, the lower pavement) was by the [o]side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates.
  19. Then he measured the width from the front of the 22lower gate to the front of the exterior of the inner court, a 23hundred cubits on the east and on the north.
  20. As for the 24gate of the outer court which faced the north, he measured its length and its width.
  21. [p]It had three 25guardrooms on each side; and its 26side pillars and its porches [q]had the same measurement as the first gate. Its length was 27fifty cubits and the width 28twenty-five cubits.
  22. Its 29windows and its porches and its palm tree ornaments had the same measurements as the 30gate which faced toward the east; and [r]it was reached by seven 31steps, and its [s]porch was in front of them.
  23. The inner court had a gate opposite the gate on the north as well as the gate on the east; and he measured a 32hundred cubits from gate to gate.
  24. ¶ Then he led me toward the south, and behold, there was a 33gate toward the south; and he measured its 34side pillars and its porches according to [t]those same measurements.
  25. [u]The gate and its porches had 35windows all around like [v]those other windows; the length was 36fifty cubits and the width twenty-five cubits.
  26. There were seven 37steps going up to it, and its porches were in front of them; and it had 38palm tree ornaments on its side pillars, one on each side.
  27. The inner court had a gate toward the 39south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a 40hundred cubits.
  28. ¶ Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate; and he measured the south gate 41according to those same measurements.
  29. Its 42guardrooms also, its side pillars and its 43porches were according to those same measurements. And [w]the gate and its porches had 44windows all around; it was 45fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
  30. There were 46porches all around, twenty-five cubits long and five cubits wide.
  31. Its porches were toward the outer court; and 47palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars, and its stairway had eight 48steps.
  32. ¶ He brought me into the 49inner court toward the east. And he measured the gate 50according to those same measurements.
  33. Its 51guardrooms also, its side pillars and its porches were according to those same measurements. And [x]the gate and its porches had 52windows all around; it was 53fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
  34. Its 54porches were toward the outer court; and 55palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight 56steps.
  35. ¶ Then he brought me to the 57north gate; and he measured it according to those same measurements,
  36. with its 58guardrooms, its side pillars and its 59porches. And [y]the gate had 60windows all around; the length was 61fifty cubits and the width twenty-five cubits.
  37. Its side pillars were toward the outer court; and 62palm tree ornaments were on its side pillars on each side, and its stairway had eight 63steps.
  38. ¶ A 64chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they 65rinse the burnt offering.
  39. In the porch of the gate were two 66tables on each side, on which to slaughter the 67burnt offering, the sin offering and the guilt offering.
  40. On the outer [z]side, [aa]as one went up to the [ab]gateway toward the north, were two tables; and on the other [ac]side of the porch of the gate were two tables.
  41. Four 68tables were on each side [ad]next to the gate; or, eight tables on which they slaughter sacrifices.
  42. For the burnt offering there were four 69tables of 70hewn stone, a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide and one cubit high, on which they lay the instruments with which they slaughter the 71burnt offering and the sacrifice.
  43. The double [ae]hooks, one handbreadth in length, were installed [af]in the house all around; and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.
  44. ¶ From the outside to the 72inner gate were [ag]73chambers for the 74singers in the inner court, one of which was at the [ah]side of the north gate, with [ai]its front toward the south, and one at the [aj]side of the [ak]south gate facing toward the north.
  45. He said to me, “This is the 75chamber which faces toward the south, intended for the priests who 76keep charge of the [al]temple;
  46. but the 77chamber which faces toward the north is for the priests who 78keep charge of the altar. These are the 79sons of Zadok, who from the sons of Levi 80come near to the LORD to minister to Him.”
  47. He measured the court, a perfect square, a 81hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was in front of the [am]temple.
  48. ¶ Then he brought me to the 82porch of the [an]temple and measured each side pillar of the porch, five cubits on each side; and the width of the gate was three cubits on each side.
  49. The length of the porch was twenty cubits and the width eleven cubits; and at the 83stairway by which it was ascended were 84columns belonging to the side pillars, one on each side.

The NWT adds words to the text that are not in the greek Manuscripts to fit it's own doctrinal position for example

Compare the wording of the NWT and the NKJV at Colossians 1:15-17

    NKJV says

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

    NWT says

15 He is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn OF all creation;16 because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All OTHER things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all OTHER things, and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist,

The word “other” is not in the Greek but they add it Why? So they can decieve their followers into thinking that Christ was created by the Father and that he then created other things, that is not what the Greek says.

Truth is from God and those that follow him. As for lies? John8:44

Kiamia, I noticed you used a modern version of kjv to make your point about the nwt.

Why didn’t you use the original kjv of col1:15?

Is it because it disproves your point? It proves the opposite of what you wrote?

Here is kjv col1:15 ¶” Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn OF every creature:“

Now I appeal to your Christian nature to correct your mistake as God is watching each of us, and let us bless the God of Jesus his father.

Kjv 1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ….

Joshua, Jehovah’s Witnesses have never denied the deity of the Messiah in his prehuman existence. While on Earth he was fully 100% human. I do not mean he was a mere human, he was not affected by Adam’s unfaithful behavior, he was sinless.

When i do read some comments and seeing that its the same people that are supposed to be called believers but are talking ill of other denominations, it hurts. Let us all remember that We should judge not

The bible tells us to test the spirits. Satan disguises himself as angel of light. So yes some denomination are not teaching the truth. You are responsible for judging which ones are not. You have to judge the truth at all times. this is what the bible teaches

The NWT is a very good translation. Dr. Jason David BeDuhn PhD attests to that in his book Truth in Translation. drive.google.com/...5p16melHzg8/view

The NWT is Satanic filth to its very core.

The JW Cult is Satanic to its very core.

Praise Yahweh I will never be a victim of JW brainwashing. If I burn in Hell for eternity or I am ultimately annihilated so be it

May Yahweh's curse rest on the Watchtower Society and its Satanic leadership

Thank you for taking the time to provide this service. I like seeing the NASB on your web page in the same format as I read on paper. On other sites, the text area is smaller, and so I have to keep scrolling down to read and sometimes I lose the context. So I really appreciate the format.

As far as the NWT, you are certainly free to do whatever you think best with your own web pages. I'd suggest that you make a note anytime you have a translation that is associated with only one denomination or church, for example:
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witness version).

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the tares. the main idea seems to be that you can't easily distinguish between God's people and not-God's people on this earth, so our Lord's response is to wait until they are shown to be the kind of people they are inside. But the NWT seems like false teaching to me. So I think the warning passages from Jesus' apostles are more applicable, as in 2 Peter 3:15-16, when he talks about Paul's writings:
"There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."
And we also have the positive exhortations, as in 2 Timothy 2:15:
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."

Your suggestion regarding the denominational flagging is duly noted. But I can’t help but wonder, wouldn’t a Catholic also want “Protestant versions” marked as well?

As for the parable, I’m pretty sure the slaves were convinced in their own minds that they could tell the tares from the wheat. After all, aren’t they the ones who identified the problem in the first place? But the master obviously thought otherwise.

Furthermore, even at the time when Jesus himself was walking the earth, not everybody who claimed fellowship actually followed him causing John to inquire at Mark 9:39, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him . . . for he who is not against us is for us.”

Hello, question.. why have you included the NWT with other legitimate bible translations? Or why have you not atleast included a warning to readers? Don't you fear that someone could be influenced by the Watchtower's intentional heresies? Thank you.

Please site these intentional heresies. I am well versed in the watch tower outline and agree they are in many ways incorrect but i also bet i can point many out from EVERY established or main denomination. There is much to learn from them all as one who drinks milk?

Judge not lest ye be judged, that is not to pass judgement on you either brother.

I debate with scripture. I don't hold it to be true that Michael is Y'Shua HaMeshiach but I also firmly hold it to be true that our G-d and Heavenly Father are not the word encarnate and only begotten son.

I love not seeing "lord" which i relate to baal. I feel the catholic church is a satanic establishment and I am aware a freemason started the hovies but there are evil in high places and our fight is also with principalities.

What i'm saying is that in my darkest hours, those two were some of if not the only ones who would bring a Bible and eucharist and pray with me.

We all fall short of the glory of G-d.

Don't forget the NWT was recognized as the most accurate translation on Jeopardy.

Lastly, this is different I noted than the NWT i have read and am very familiar with. Pull up the watchtower page and compare. I truly look forward to getting this one!
