Book of Psalms, No. 2
No. 2 of the Psalms
¶ And the peoples meditate a vain thing?
¶ And the rulers take counsel together,
¶ Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,
¶ And cast away their cords from us.
¶ The Lord will have them in derision.
¶ And [b]vex them in his sore displeasure:
¶ Upon my holy hill of Zion.
¶ Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son;
¶ This day have I begotten thee.
¶ And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
¶ Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
¶ Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
¶ And rejoice with trembling.
¶ For his wrath [c]will soon be kindled.
¶ [d]Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.FOOTNOTES
